Job Role: Cleaner (Job Share)

Hourly Rate: £13.00  

Location: Fareham 

Working Hours:  

• Morning Shift (Cleaner A):  6:30am – 9:30am (15 hours per week) 
• Afternoon Shift (Cleaner B):  4:00pm – 6:00pm (10 hours per week)

About the Role:  

We are currently seeking reliable and motivated cleaners to join our team in a job-share arrangement across our office and communal facilities. This role is ideal for individuals looking for flexible, part-time hours with the opportunity for additional paid cover when required. 

Job Share Arrangement: 

This position operates as a job share, providing built-in cover. 

• Each cleaner has their own regular shift 
• When one Cleaner is absent, the other may be offered additional paid hours 
• Cover shifts may include: 
• 6:30am – 11:30am 
• 1:00pm – 6:00pm (split shift) 
• Additional hours are paid at the normal hourly rate 

As part of the job-share arrangement, employees are expected to provide reasonable cover for their job-share partner during periods of sickness and annual leave, where possible. Additional hours worked will be paid at the normal hourly rate where applicable. 

General Duties: 

• Maintain consistent cleanliness and hygiene standards 
• Dispose of rubbish promptly and appropriately 
• Report any maintenance or cleaning issues 
• Follow health and safety procedures 

Office, Reception & Communal Areas:

• Clean offices, reception, kitchens, toilets, halls, stairs, and lobbies 
• Dust, wipe, and sanitise surfaces, furniture, and fittings 
• Clean and disinfect kitchen surfaces and appliances 
• Clean toilets, sinks, and fixtures to hygiene standards 
• Vacuum carpets and sweep/mop hard floors 
• Clean internal glass and windows where applicable 
• Empty bins during every clean 
• Maintain tidy and organised workspaces 

All cleaners follow a full cleaning checklist to ensure consistency. 

Training & Support: 

• Full induction and training 
• Cleaning equipment and supplies 
• Clear schedules and checklists 
• Ongoing management support

• Previous cleaning experience (preferred)
