Working Hours: 37.5  hours per week

About the Role: 

Hythe is expanding, and we’re looking for an organised, detail-driven Bid & Sales Coordinator to join our growing team. This exciting entry-level role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on our business development success across key sectors, including Defence and Nuclear. 

In this supportive environment, your ideas will be valued as you contribute to high-quality, winning submissions. You will work closely with our Sales and Estimating teams to ensure the smooth production of bids, proposals, and supporting materials, collaborating with technical, commercial, financial, operations, and compliance colleagues to bring together compelling, accurate, and well-structured submissions. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date data for all Sales activities. 
  • Plan, coordinate, and support responses to PQQs, RFIs, ITTs, and tender submissions. 
  • Assist technical specialists with editing, formatting, and proofreading content. 
  • Coordinate inputs from multidisciplinary teams across the business. 
  • Ensure all submission deadlines are met with high levels of accuracy. 
  • Collaborate across Hythe to create strong, high-quality response documents. 
  • Maintain a proposal library, including model answers and case studies. 
  • Create or support the production of presentations, flow charts, organisational charts, and tailored CVs. 
  • Support the Marketing Manager, keeping website content current and relevant. 
  • Work closely with and report to the Head of Estimating, contributing ideas to improve our bid processes. 

Ideal Candidate Attributes: 

  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills. 
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in both writing and data input. 
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills. 
  • Confident interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders. 
  • Strong IT literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Please note that roles at Hythe Engineering require security clearance. Successful candidates must obtain and maintain appropriate clearance for this position.
